Thanks for being a great teacher. I thought I knew a lot about my body and food but you have vastly expanded that knowledge. I know more women than men take your classes so I wanted to share what I got out of it. The other day one of my brothers asked me what detox is. So I told him all about it. Detox has really made a big difference in my life. It has been a couple of weeks since the end of my detoxification and I have noticed many great things. My mind has more of what I can only call clarity and I just feel more vibrant. Physically my body just runs like it is being fueled by top fuel, which it now is. The normal lactic acid burn, the day after a great workout is not as bad and I have even gained more strength. Food is one of the joys of life and now you have given me all kinds of things to try and that is cool. Detox is more than just cleaning out the toxins. For me it is about learning about how that happens and how certain foods affect the body. Your classes have taught me how to be healthier and for that I am very thankful. We take care of so much in life, but when we take care of ourselves first, that gives us the strength to give more.

I have had a weight problem my whole life. I decided to get into shape by training myself for a marathon. I was running everyday and I continued to gain weight. I thought wow something must be really wrong with me. I ran into Cheri at the gym one day, her and I got to talking and I found out that she may be able to help me. We set up an appointment. I went in really nervous because of all the other products I had tried in the past that didn’t work and also the cost of a 1 month program….I decided to give it a go since I had tried everything else without permanent results. I also went in with my mind set that you can’t buy health. Health is something you should not put a price tag on, you can always have material things but health is much more important and a better investment. I met with Cheri and found out what I thought was healthy eating (to me) was loaded with sugar, salt and artificial stuff. I also took the allergy test which I learned the reason for my weight problem, I was eating food my body couldn’t process, therefore storing it. My experience with Cheri has exceeded all my expectations! She has helped identify nutritional deficiencies and health issues, and helped to correct them through diet changes. What I love most about Cheri is that she opens my eyes to a variety of diet opportunities and ideas as opposed to making me feel restricted. She has even assisted me in shopping for the right items. I have been working with Cheri for well over 10+ years and she has done wonders for me in a variety of areas! To start… I have struggled with food allergies and sinus issues for the majority of my adult life, gone through multiple sinus surgeries and endless types of antibiotics to combat my chronic sinus infection and nothing worked. Doctors basically gave up on me and told me I’d have to live on steroids for the rest of my life. Cheri didn’t accept that, and got to work on figuring out what the underlying issue was. We did food allergy testing and food elimination diets to find out that I had a food allergy to dairy. When I removed dairy from my diet, ALL my issues went away, which was astounding! That was the first of many amazing things Cheri helped me with and she has been my “go-to” for health advice ever sense. More recently was my weight gain post having 2 kids compounded by the impact of COVID. Like many, the long work hours, lack of exercise, and stresses related to COVID caught up to me and I found myself weighting the MOST I have every weighed in my entire life. I know how to be healthy, because Cheri taught me, but I needed something structured to get me back on track. I was ready to make a change and reached out to Cheri for help. We started a new program and within just a few days, I was already starting to see the weight loss, but more importantly feeling better, getting improved sleep, and feeling more alert. I followed the program in full, and was so happy with the results I chose to extend my program. I lost ~20 pounds in the first 6 weeks! I started feeling more like me again, but wanted to keep going to get to my goal weight and optimal health again. I kept working with Cheri and continued eating healthy and exercising, and lost another 10 pounds. It took me 6 months overall, and here are the before and after pictures of losing 30 pounds! I’m now in my 40s but feel like I am in my 20s again with so much energy (both physically and mentally). I’m a better mom, wife, employee, and advocate for myself as a result of getting my health back in check. Not only do I highly recommend this program, I highly recommend Cheri! January 2019 I took a good hard look at myself in the mirror and I didn’t like what I saw. It’s not as if I had some dramatic event that caused what I was seeing it was just a slow build up over time. I stepped on the scale and weighed a whopping 265 lbs. I thought there had to be a mistake, the scale must not be functioning properly, so I checked the tags on my clothes and sure enough I was wearing XXL shirts and size 44 pants. I knew that in my mid 30s making subtle changes weren’t going to cut it I needed to really get serious if I wanted to get healthy and I needed someone that could teach me what I didn’t know. I found Cheri at Well Balanced Nutrition & More. She taught me about what I was actually putting in my body versus what me body actually needed to perform at it’s peak. Out went the drive thru bags and in came the greens, the veggies, the fruits, and the wholesome home cooked meals. Out went the soda and in came water and natural alternatives. The journey wasn’t easy, but she supported me, guided me, and taught me. She even found ways to incorporate the foods I loved like pizza and pasta into a healthy diet by elevating the ingredients. It took a year and a lot of hard work but It paid off. I walk around now 80 lbs lighter wearing medium shirts and a size 32 pant. I now legitimately look forward to eating a salad, I only shop organic produce, and I look for new ideas to add into my cooking repertoire. I finally figured out how to eat healthy and still look forward to meals full of flavor! Thank you Cheri for guiding me on my journey!
